Monika Włodarczyk

Dr Monika Włodarczyk is a civil judge at the District Court in Chrzanów. Since June 2022 she has been the vice-president of the European Association of Judges for Mediation GEMME with the seat in Paris. She is particulary interested in civil litigation, mediation and conflict management. In 2020 she was awarded scholarship Weinstein JAMS International Fellowship. During the Fellowship, she studied best practices in court-connected ADR programs in the U.S. to implement and expand court-connected mediation pilot projects and promote the use of mediation through training for the judiciary in Poland. She has completed intensive program appropriate for judges who are interested in setting up court-based mediation programs „Mediating Disputes” at Harvard Negotiation Institute (HNI), Harvard University, Cambridge, MA and mediation training „Mediating the Litigated Case” at Pepperdine University Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, an internationally recognized training center for judges and mediators in Malibu, California. She was a lecturer at international mediation conferences and she took part in many mediation and negotiation trainings, seminars and workshops in Europe organized by the the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) and the Academy of  European Law (ERA). In 2021 she was an expert and a lecturer in the project „Technical assistance to the Modernisation of the Infrastructure and Procedures of the Civil and Commercial Justice in Jordan” organised by the Agence Francaise de Developpment and Expertise France. She is a member of the International Association of Women Judges.
