Dr Henriette Sigmund is a senior associate at Busse Disputes, an arbitration boutique based in Frankfurt, Germany. She represents clients in national and international arbitration proceedings, including those conducted under the rules of the DIS and the ICC. She also represents clients in German court proceedings, especially in cases with cross-border implications. Before joining Busse Disputes, Henriette previously worked at a large German law firm that is well-known for dispute resolution as well as a law firm in Tel Aviv, Israel. She completed her legal studies in Heidelberg and Frankfurt, Germany, as well as in Geneva, Switzerland, and obtained a doctorate in law and economics and comparative law.

A particular focus of Henriette’s practice relates to alternative dispute resolution methods, especially mediation. In particular, she is a trained and certified mediator. In addition to her counsel and mediator work, Henriette serves as regional coordinator of the below-40 organisation of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) in Frankfurt. She is also a member of the DIS. She speaks German, English and French.
